The solid fibreglass rods are lightweight, UV stabilised, extremely strong and quick and easy to install.
Electric Fencing
When used as portable electric fence posts they offer a solution to temporary fencing and permanent fencing, allowing more economical animal control and improved pasture management. The solid fibreglass rods produced by Precision Pultrusion Ltd are:
- Totally insulating
- Have a silicon smooth surface finish - NO SPLINTERS
- Are extremely strong
- Are resistant to chemical sprays & super phosphate, moss, worm & fungal attack as well as extremes in temperature/weather
Generally accepted sizes for electric fencing rods are 9mm, 9.7mm and 12.5mm and pigtail clips have been developed to suit these diameters. Stock fence post lengths are 1m, 1.2m, 1.5m and 1.8m but custom lengths can be manufactured on request.

Other uses
Solid fibreglass rods are ideal for use as stakes in the garden or vineyard because of the ease of handling (the pointed tip makes driving easy), they flex on impact and will not rust or crack, thus leading to less plant or tree damage.
Because of their superior strength and durability solid fibreglass rods are now used extensively as mechanical harvesting rods for grape pickers and berry pickers.
